“Go Girl Go” is being sponsored by Girls Health Ed, a nonprofit organization that provides free health education workshops taught by trained teaching fellows in urban areas throughout the U.S. including: Washington, DC, Baltimore, New York City and Los Angeles, and in Kenya. Our Kenya workshop begins in 2015 in partnership with the Mama Sarah Obama Foundation. To date, Girls Health Ed has provided health education to 700 girls and young women, with hopes to effect and empower even more.
Pledge a donation amount in order to support three major initiatives:
1) Additional workshops in Kenya in collaboration with the Mama Sarah Obama Foundation and sanitary products for girls living below the global poverty line
2) A college scholarship for a high school senior in our program
3) The expansion of health education programs to even more inner city schools
In exchange for the donation pledge, participants will receive an array of gifts including T-shirts, gift cards, and other special gifts. The funding period will run from July 15, 2015 through November 15, 2015.
