If you ask people from different fields about what they view as success, you may get the following answers: in business – success is profit, in politics – success is a victory in the elections, in science – the Nobel Prize, in sports – the Olympic medal, in popular music – the Grammy award, in popular literature - the number of books sold, in journalism - the Pulitzer Prize, in the film industry – the Academy award, etc… The list goes on and on.
If you look at this list, you'll notice that our interpretation of success depends on the area of our professional interests. It turns out that the area of our activities dictates different goals, requires different tools, and generates different results. A new book by Naomi Lyubimov, M.Sc. "Born Successful: The Pursuit of the American Dream" will give you a detailed explanation of success and how we can achieve it. You can find more information about the book here.
