I am so excited to have the opportunity to spend a months in Guayaquil, Ecuador! During my stay, I will be living with an Ecuadorian family, taking classes at a local university, and volunteering 15-20 hours each week at a community-based organization. Unfortunately the program is a bit too expensive for me to handle at the moment. The program cost about $9000 and I have about a third covered due to scholarships but it's still not enough. My time in Ecuador will be spent learning spanish and helping the people of Ecuador recover after the earthquake that hit in April last month. Thank you for any help to be able to reach my dream of going abroad and being able to further my service internationally!
