Sandra is speaking out.
Let's help her make an impact! She needs funds to expand her Hispanic weekly television show, VARIEDADES CON SANDRA, utilizing creative publicity and marketing campaigns.VARIEDADES CON SANDRA:
is currently the only widely known weekly television program in California that uniquely presents topics about and for the Central American community. Since the show began in 2010, Sandra has offered a weekly platform for discussion of important issues affecting Central Americans in the USA, such as immigration, local and national politics, women's health, even fashion and beauty. She has interviewed numerous Latino public officials, political candidates, businessmen, musicians, poets and other intellectuals and organizations that support and provide services for the Central American community in Los Angeles.
As the 2010 Census demonstrates, Latinos are the fasting growing minority. Furthermore, Central Americans are the largest group immigrating to the USA. VARIEDADES CON SANDRA is the only show that caters to both Central Americans and the larger Hispanic audience by providing engaging and informative content as well as positively celebrating the diversity of all the various Hispanic cultures. No other weekly news or entertainment show in the USA offers such a perspective.
In order for VARIEDADES CON SANDRA to expand its reach on television and the internet, innovative publicity and marketing strategies are required. Thus, your generous contribution to this crowdfunding campaign will provide the crucial financial capital to source experienced and skilled marketing professionals. As a result, VARIEDADES CON SANDRA will have greater exposure to the larger Hispanic market and will continue to boost positive imagery about Latino culture in the USA.

Sandra Chavarria traces her family roots to Guatemala and El Salvador. Since immigrating to the USA in 1993, Sandra has appeared in several independent films and plays. Her television broadcasting career started in 2009 as the co-host of MUSICA TV LA, a half hour Spanish language music show, where she interviewed numerous Hispanic singers and bands. Sensing the value of targeted programming for the underserved Central American audience in Los Angeles, Sandra created VARIEDADES CON SANDRA, a half hour program dedicated to issues that affect the Central American community. The show would also serve as a community bulletin board, where organizations and individuals could publicize their events, thus highlighting the diverse culture of Central Americans. Soon after, public officials and political candidates began contacting Sandra to regularly appear on her show, recognizing its popularity but more importantly, the niche growing audience it served.
Since 2008, Sandra has organized a program to deliver toys to children in El Salvador and Guatemala during Christmas. Beginning in 2012, Sandra has been a guest judge at the Miss Independencia Pageant, held annually in Los Angeles.
In 2011, Sandra was recognized with the 'Gustavo VII Guatemala Artist Award' and later that year, the newspaper Mi Gente gave her a recognition for her support of the Hispanic community. Sandra was presented with a 'Certifcate of Recognition' by City of Los Angeles Councilmember Ed Reyes for her commitment and support of the 29th Annual Central American Independence Day Parade and Festival.
In 2013, the Los Angeles based organizations COFECA and DEFISAL recognized Sandra and her television program for her participation and community volunteer work and as an 'Orgullo Salvadoreño'.
Recently, Flash LA TV presented Sandra and award for 'Best Reporter 2013'.
How will the money raised be spent?

Thank you for your support. Every dollar counts. We hope to make a change in the world.
Sincerely,
VARIEDADES CON SANDRA
