Children learn best when in a complex and vibrant environment, and when they are afforded the freedom of movement, choice and fresh air that the forest allows for. And so we piloted our Forest School program this fall at The Brooklyn New School. At Forest School - Pre-K visits Prospect Park Wednesdays as our forest "classroom." This is a day that has immediately become beloved by children, teachers and parents alike!

We are inspired by the Preschools in Sweden that conduct themselves outdoors in all kinds of weather.
This year, we are raising money for carseats for the children to use when they are riding to school bus to Forest School. With your help, the children can continue to flourish and learn in nature.
